Hi all. We are in the process of moving a handful of our custom notification scripts into zabbix. We effectively provide centralized monitoring of systems for a few hundred different groups.
For the most part this should be fairly easy, especially since I think we can use a generic alert for most of the scripts. But it occurred to me today that the only way to setup the Actions to e-mail each of the groups when one of their systems is down, is to create at least 1 alert per group. This means we will have to configure lots of alerts, that are identical in content and trigger functions, but with different actions. I can imagine that being cumbersome for both using the GUI, and for maintenance going forward.
Does anyone have any suggestion for how to handle that circumstance?
