Ping Script Usage as Trigger

Within Zabbix 1.8 I need to set up a ping trigger to monitor some URL's.

I know that Zabbix has a script already set up which I'm keen to use, but, I'm not entirely sure how to set a trigger with the script.

For pinging on IP layer use Simple check:
(section 19.6)
icmpping
icmppingsec
icmppingloss

For http monitoring use Simple check:
(section 19.6)
http,<port>
http_perf,<port>

For web monitoring use "Web monitoring"
