time interval between two email notifications

Hi all! I would like to ask, where and how can I specify interval between email notifications. At this time I receive every 5 minutes email about same problem (for example a lot of processes on machine)

I would like to set this interval to 12 hours. Is it possible?

Because my thunderbird contain around 200 new emails per day, it is horrible.

    Thank you for all advice

Enable escalations in actions and set Period in Action operations to the number of seconds required.

thank you for reply but your advice does not work... I am set escalation and period to 3600 seconds.. Still get around 5 minutes new email notification. Here is example of these mails:

      amount of httpd instances higher than 80 on ** www3 **: PROBLEM - 14:22:51 2010.10.26
      with value: 81
      trigger key: httpd.amount.of.instances

      amount of httpd instances higher than 80 on ** www3 **: PROBLEM - 14:29:49 2010.10.26
      with value: 81
      trigger key: httpd.amount.of.instances

      amount of httpd instances higher than 80 on ** www3 **: PROBLEM - 14:30:46 2010.10.26
      with value: 89
      trigger key: httpd.amount.of.instances

If the trigger has already been in a PROBLEM state during the change of Actions this will not help you - it will be in force after the trigger goes OK and PROBLEM again - try to disable and enable the item/trigger now....maybe restart of zabbix server would help (?). This behavior is not very well documented in documentation.

              Hi,

I have a MySQL trigger which has to send email twice a day at specific time intervals irrespective of TRIGGER STATUS, i mean even trigger status not change from OK to PROBLEM or PROBLEM to OK,it has to send a email.is that possible?

You could set your trigger to go into a problem state if the time = the time you want the email to go out, and then it will fire off an email. Or use the API and pull the item values and send the email yourself

Yeah understand this, but i am running into a situation where i need to send email with TRIGGERING STATUS as OK else developers get confuse.

It is possible, just change the trigger to look for any string. This matter that doesn't matter what the result is, the trigger would fire.
