    Trigger generates additional information

    We currently utilise Zabbix to monitor our Oracle E-business products.

    We have set up a number of triggers to allow us to constantly monitor the system performance.

    Where CPU utilisation exceeds a given value a trigger is generated to alert us to the possibility that the application or database may be experiencing a problem.

    What we would like to do is where a trigger is received, that it generated additional information about the server state.

    Is it possible for a trigger to 'grab' additional information from an item, or script, etc. and insert this into the trigger email which is received?

    Thanks for your help and assistance

    notification can include data from any other items. so if you collect that other data periodically, just insert it in the messages being sent out. if not... there are a couple of options.

    1. you can use custom alertscript to gather data and then send out the notification your own way;
    2. you can use escalations to run custom command as the first step, populate some data (maybe by using zabbix_sender), then send out notifications in further escalation steps by using the freshly added data

      Also, you can use macros i.e. {ESC.HISTORY} in action messages. See documentation section 4.2
