Monitor IBM Servers

hi guys

I am new to Zabbix....since I really hate IBM Director I want to test something else and I already installed Zabbix on CentOS 5.5 which is running OK.

Now even when IBM Director really suc... I use it for hardware monitoring...faulty hard drive, excessive temperature, faulty power supply... and others for my linux servers.

now using the Zabbix agent I will be able to monitor IBM hardware mainly on IBM HS12 - HS21 blade servers? or Zabbix is not a hardware monitoring tool?

Hi,

I have no specific experience with IBM hardware but the kind of information you want to monitor (power supplies, temperature,...) is generally available via IPMI.
A quick search of "ibm ipmi HS12 HS21" in Google gives results that show that IPMI is available on this hardware.
