    view permissions

    Hello everybody,

I am trying to modify permissions so that users would have different views but I didn't find how to do it.

For example, I would have a view "Internet status" with only graphs displaying Internet status (router availability, DNS availability, bandwidth). These informations would come from items from different hosts (router, DNS server, Cisco). Then I would like to have a user Internet_user with only access to this view (and not the others hosts informations).

I have also a question about the use of Add to group when editing an item. It seems as it does nothing.

    Could you help me please?

Please share with us which version of Zabbix you're using

User 'restrictions' are based on hostgroups. Zabbix currently cannot offer you a 'view' only (I guess you mean screen in Zabbix terms). It is possible to get the graphs and other items from your screen, by directly linking to these and publish these on another website/wiki/... whatever you like

You can find some more info in this topic.

I tried your solution but the problem is that I should give access for guest user to the hosts.
Even with only read access, it's not really safe for a company.

You might also consider to 'wget' the graph, or use libcurl. This way you can still use authentication, then you can save the graphs in a more public place...

There might also be the solution to install one Zabbix per view even if it's a bit an heavy solution.
