Problem with action/mail

Hi all,

i have 2 zabbix 1.8.3 servers on debian
At first i had DM configured, but due the problems with syncing configs master -> child, i deleted the DM config.

But i have still the problem with sending mails to specific users.

I have a action configured which sends out mails to a group.
i have 4 working users in this group which receives the mails without problems.

Now i added a new user, give him a mailaddress, added him to the mail group, and now zabbix didn't sent out any mail to this user.
In administration -> Notifications is the colum for this user emtpy.

Zabbix just don't like this user, but that couldn't be, such a simple thing.

Could this problem be a result of a too big database? atm we have 43gb in the mysql.

Can anybody help me out? Because its just usefull to get emails from the monitoring :-)

Please make sure that this new user has at least view-rights on the node which is affected.

If a user doesn't have at least view-rights on a node, it will not receive any alerts about this particular node

but this is user is a super admin with rw on all servers

Is it correct that you did the DM-database changes, changed the config, than changed back the config to something normal?

Did you also "rollback" the database schema?

right, in the beginning i did the DM mysql changes
to split up i just removed the entries in administration - dm and removed the id entry in the zabbix_server.conf

what should i roll back in the database?
can't find something in the documentation.
How could i roll back the databse schema?

Honestly, I'm not sure. I followed the Zabbix deployment for large environments-training, during this training, richlv made clear that there is no way back, after you've chosen a DM-setup and made the changes.

However, Zabbix is fast moving forward and I'm not following the changelogs in all detail. So I guess this might depend on the version you're using (stable/svn).

If I was in your position and my deployment is fairly small, I might seriously consider a complete reinstall, just to have the guarantee of a good working db.

seems that you are right.
after i converted the db with n 0 zabbix stopped working :-(
