Check now host button

Hi,

Is it possible to implement in zabbix a "Check now" button that would trigger zabbix-server to update all it's items associated with one host? Via API access? Via the webinterface? Do I have to reset some counters?

All my hosts are using SNMP.

that is not possible currently, as zabbix server does not expose such a control

Then maybe injecting the values with zabbix_sender would do the trick?

well, it depends on what you are monitoring and how. but you can not send arbitrary values with zabbix_sender to items that don't have type set to be "zabbix trapper"
