How to create a user defined macro

Hi All,
I am trying to create a user defined macro. Something like

{$QueueName} <tempQue> and I would like to use this variable on my items.

Every time I try to add a macro under a host it says "wrong Macro". Anyone got any ideas how to do it.

User macro should be written in uppercase only. Like {$QUEUENAME}
