    Peint screen of Administration/notifications

    Hi,

You CAN verify if zabbix tried to send a mail in Administration/notification Area. That CAN help you to know if the problem come from your smtp server or from your configuration.

    Good luck

        Command Line

        Hi,

If that still not work, Open a terminal,
        Get root privilege
        And type those commands :
        # telnet saturno.redsis.com smtp
normaly, something like that must appear :

Trying "IP address of your company smtp server"...
Connected to saturno.redsis.com (IP address of your company smtp server).
        Escape character is '^]'.
        220 saturno.redsis.com ESMTP Postfix

        # helo redsis.com
        something like that must appear:

        250 saturno.redsis.com

That Will verify if you CAN reach your company's smtp server.

So if you have a bad response, try just this command:

        # ping saturno.redsis.com
        Or
        # ping redsis.com

        I wait your feedback about.

        Good luck

            Hi Marcospina,

For a full test, you have to type everything after "#".
i told you to try those commands :

            # telnet saturno.redsis.com (type this)
(that Will answer something like "220 saturno.redsis.com ......"
            # helo redsis.com (type this)
(that Will answer something like "250 saturno.redsis.com......."

After that answer from your smtp server, type those commands to send a mail manualy :
            # mail from: [email protected]
            (that will answer : "OK")
            # rcpt to: [email protected]
            (that will answer : "OK")
            # data
            # test mail from [email protected] to [email protected]
            # .
            # quit

And now verify if you receive this manual mail.
            Good luck

i am making it like you told me, but it replies error.
              look this image.

i believe that the helo command should should be in the telnet session but it was closed by foreign host.

                Hi marcospina,

Sorry for my bad explanation , but when you type the first command, you don't have to wait that the telnet was close to type the "helo ...." command and the NeXT one !!!

Please try to type those commands in the telnet session and give me a feedback.

                Good luck

Is the SMTP server allowing connections from your Zabbix Server. It looks to me that it is closing the session.

We do not allow any device to relay thru an SMTP server.

                    Hi.
when i tried to send the email in telnet console from saturno, it replies "Errors: '554 Message rejected for policy reason'", so i connect to jupiter.redsis.com (secondary mail server from the company) and i could the mail from the telnet session.
i made the changes of smtp server in zabbix but zabbix stills without send any mail.

Perhaps it is time to either speak nicely to the Administrator of your SMTP Servers and / or run a Wireshark or tcpsump trace.
