Several questions.. 'zabbix was restarted error' on logfile monitoring

Hello everyone!

I have a nice and complete solution to monitor 'homemade" logfiles.
if intrested, I shall post that on the form.

But when the server ( zabbix server ) is restarted, this logfile monitoring is not starting again.

I've done a lot of research on this forum.. but it is TOO big!...
So that is why I am posting this question..

Ok, this is the solution

Yesterday I spend a lot of time on this forum.

I didn't found any information about this error.. but fixed it by myself.
In the agent log, I saw that the file was read but it was not "shipped" to the server

I have changed the content of the file, and yes.. the problem was over.
The agent controls the counter of the logfile. ie. the agent keeps a variable for control of how far he has read.

If that number is everytime the same... he don't send anything to the server.
When the server is restarted... he doesn't count anything until the file ( who is monitord ) is changed.

I guess if in monitoring log file not changes. You can add to it some char or line manually.
By the way look at zabbix agent.log with Debug=4, FYI: agent should be active.

Thanks for your advice Neogan. I will go through what you have suggested. Hope I find something positive
