New to Zabbix

I would place a plea to anyone , who can help me understand how to monitor using zabbix...One of our clients has deployed zabbix for their server monitors and we did not have any clue on how to monitor for alerts using this tool.

Can anyone help me with a manual or a book or an explanation on how to monitor using Zabbix..
