    "Screen templates"

    Hi,

I was wondering if there is a good way to make screen templates.
I have a bunch of boxes that essentially perform the exact same role (e.g. web server). When there is a problem with a specific box I like to be able to see a screen showing graphs for all the vital stats for each machine... connections, requests, cpu etc.
From what I've seen so far I can't make some screen and then tell Zabbix to clone it for each host in the cluster, I would have to make the 50 click (or so) journey to set up this screen for each machine. Is that right?

    Cheers,
    DB

create a screen for one system and when adding system specific elements, mark the "dynamic" checkbox. this way you can also have something in the screen that never changes (if you don't mark that checkbox). when viewing that screen, you will be able to select other hosts to see their data as well.

in 2.0, there will be additional feature that will allow to create screens in templates as well, but in your case the existing functionality seems sufficient

      cool,

While we're on the subject of streamlining configuration... any way do make a non-simple graph out of an item "automatically"? Better yet choose a bunch of items and tell Zabbix to create a 'vanilla' graph for each?

      Thanks

well, it's not a good idea to pile many topics in a single thread... but why don't simple graphs work for you ?
