    How to Delay Triggers.

    Hi ,

    I want to send a alert if the service is down for the 3 minutes for that i created a trigger in the following way . But it didnt wait for 3 minutes the service is down for one minute and i got the mail . after a minute the service was up and i got the resolved alert , I Want to send the alert only if the service is down for more than 3 minutes . For reference please find the attachment of graph(Marked with the red colour) Please help me how to do this .

    min(180) should be better

      I agree. You've basically said that the minimum value over 18 seconds needed to be 6, not for 180 seconds (3 minutes). This would not trigger if you sampled more frequently, perhaps, but if you're sampling once every 30 seconds or 60 seconds (or even less) then you could trigger with the listed configuration.

      Far better to run your "delay" type triggers to look across multiple sample times.
