Message with duration

Hi everyone i apreciated any help
i configured an action to email me when a trigger value is a problem
and the recovery message is checked so
when the problems is solved i received a mail indicated it's o.k.
but i want to know the duration of the problem

i mean
Time that event starts - time when the event ends

i tried {EVENT.AGE} but it's always 0m

Also what's the difference between {ITEM.VALUE} and {ITEM.LASTVALUE}
any clue?
