checking node status

Hi,

I have a master with a lot of nodes. Today, a node is down and I can't see an alert in the dashboard.

How can I monitor the node when no data are send to the master ?

I have a firewall between the master and the node, only the port 10051 are open from node to master.

I'm not sure this is what you're looking for but have you tried using the function nodata (http://www.zabbix.com/documentation/...onfig/triggers) ?

My master received only the events from the nodes.

But if I have a trouble between the node and the master (not a network cut, because I check the node with icmpping), I don't see the new events on the master.
And for the dashboard all is green, I don't no how to check no events reception.
