    Template Edit

    Hi...

I installed zabbix and its nice product. I add some Linux servers to monitor using template, there is many services that i dont need to monitor like FTP /pop3 .

Pls let me know how to edit default template or create new template for only for required services.

    Pls advice.

    Rgds,

I was going to refer you to the manual, but the templates documentation leaves something to be desired.

    To edit the existing template:
Go to Configuration > Templates. Find the template in the list you want to modify and click the "Items" link. From there you can disable or delete items as needed.

Ah, yes, the Templates menu item was added in 1.8.3.

You can get to the same place I refer to by clicking on any of the links that say "Templates" in the "#" column from the page (Configuration > Host Groups) in the screenshot you attached below. Once there, continue with the instructions from my last post.

You ain't kidding about the documentation being lacking. 2 weeks I've been trying to get ntp monitoring to work. The docs are weak!
