    Zabbix server/proxy performances

    Hi guys,
To celebrate my evolution from "Zabbix Junior member" to "Zabbix member", I have a new question on Zabbix size.

I would like to deploy Zabbix with the enclosed infrastructure.

    nb: LAN+DMZ = 500 hosts
    Zabbix proxies/agents in Active mode
I will have 2 servers dual core with 8GB of RAM
and 2 servers 2*4 cores with 32GB of RAM

As I will execute monitoring scripts and snmp requests from the Zabbix proxies, I think I should use the 2*4 cores servers for them.
Zabbix servers would only have the task of informing Zabbix proxies, notifications and presentation and storing values into external DB.

Does it make sense for you?

Yes, make sense. I don't see another question though.

I think you should consider the number of items, triggers, frequency, etc. Not the number of hosts.

Also, the database server is going to take the bulk of the beating. Do you want to describe it?

      Merci bbrendon

Il y aurait environ 1500 items.
et sans doute plus dans l'avenir.

Quant à la BDD, je dois encore voir avec l'architecte système.
