    Multi Tenant Monitoring

    Hi,

I provide virtual machine hosting to my clients and I'm wondering if Zabbix would make a good solution to monitor their virtual machines. From the datacenter level I'd like to be able to monitor all machines, but I'd also like to be able to allow each customer access to monitor their vm's.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

    Groups/rights

I'm starting to work on the same idea, where only limited info is available to the outside party/group while the NOC has full control.

The best I can find is to isolate hosts for a specific customer into a unique group. From there you can create them as a user, make them a member of a new group, and assign permissions to only view objects in the host group you created. The same goes for maps. You can make maps that are customer specific based upon host group memberships (assuming you use maps, which I prefer as a bird's eye view to the environment.

A few of us have been asking for nested host groups because your configuration will begin quickly to be cluttered with all the group options, but for now that's the best I could come up with. Nested host groups could theoritcally act like nested maps (with a parent/child structure). I'll repost if I come across a different approach. I may be missing something and you are liable to get a better response if so.

Only solution what I see is group by each customer.

Nested grouping should be great feature. But this is more feature request section.
