Basic Help with Windows monitoring

Hi!

I need some help with a zabbix 1.8.4 server installed in ubuntu 10.04 version, I'm tryed monitore a simple windows xp workstation and for that I used some How To that say that is necessary install SNMP protocol on the machine, and install the agent too.

I'm added the workstation on zabbix server, but when I access the Configuration/hosts in zabbix, the availability spine is gray, and I know that is necessary the agent or the snmp be green.

I don't know if this will help in your situation,but one of the reason can be access through your network,where protocols and ports needs for monitored are closed.
