New to Zabbix

Hi,
I really appreciate if someone can tell me how I add an snmp host (step by step). I got lost trying to do so :-(

I would like to use the Cisco 2960 template and monitor my switch.
I need to setup the snmp community etc.

can someone explain to me how to do it?

Hi,

Obviously setting up SNMP on your cisco device is beyond the purview of this forum.

Assuming you have correctly configured your device, if there are no templates available to directly plugin using Zabbix(which there typically are, or at least guides on how to all over the forums), you can easily perform an SNMPWALK of the device and build a template based on your results.
