Some items too delayed in queue

In queue section,there are some items that has been delayed for few hours!
All this items are related to one node.but zabbix correctly monitors another items of this node.
I do not have any idea about this problem,

have you any luck with this issue?

We're experiencing a similar issue on one of our hosts - updates are very irregular days and not minutes.

Same network and the same linux template as the other hosts which are working fine.

Weirdly enough we're not getting data into zabbix database for that one particular host.

When tried telnet the agent directly with the item command we're getting values fine.

might be a performance problem with your zabbix database - check SHOW PROCESSLIST; for queries running too long

also check if you have enough pollers and agents running to poll data

measure IO on your zabbix database

optimizing zabbix server

and thanks for response.

I checked the Mysql processes list and I can see there are about 3-5 zabbix processes over 100 up to 350 in average.

Iv'e restarted zabbix server and zabbix agent and that seems to help. There are still item in the Zabbix Queue again from the same hosts (these items are not that important for us).

It's weird that we're not getting this problem from other hosts from the same environment.

We do run some other application using Mysql database on the server.

are those queries related to zabbix? you can actuially check the item which is causing that myqsl query .... cut&paste and we can investigate

I went back to the troubled host and focused on the agent.

We've upgraded Zabbix twice and I think our restart agent bash script was launching an older version of the agent.

This seems to get rid off the long DB connections.

We still having some items in the Queue but these are not important.

problem back again

Hi Guys

the same problem keeps getting back.

I'm puzzled what can be causing this as only one server is plying up. (same template and same agents are in place).

When checking metrics via telnet I can see one difference:

For example metric: vm.memory.size[free]

[myuser@194699-web1 ~]# telnet 192.168.210.115 10050

vm.memory.size[free]
ZBXD 128933888Connection closed by foreign host.

The return value is "ZBXD 128933888". Value on almost identical server (load balanced pair) is "ZBX43282432". Again I use the same bin of zabbix agent on both server same config file.

Any suggestions?

I tried restarting mysql | zabbix server but with no luck. Items end up in Queue.
