    Test Zabbix performances

    Hi everybody,

I'm now trying to test zabbix_server performances accross a zabbix_proxy.
    I created an host with 10000 items (UserParameter=testecho_2,/bin/echo 100 ....)

My Zabbix Server is running on a Centos 5.5 (kernel-PAE) in an IBM ESX 445 with 8 processors 2.7Ghz (32bits) and 32GB RAM

During my tests, I noticed a server Load average > 6.
The Processors are mainly used by Mysql.

I also noticed with the zabbix_proxy that its proxy_history tables grows and it seems that after ~10 minutes, latest datas are no longer retrieved by Zabbix_server.

I use default configuration for zabbix_server and zabbix_proxy.

Do you have an idea of which parameters I could change to improve performances?

    Thanks

    Whoa.

You might want to investigate your DB backend's performance. It's nearly always because the zabbix DB can't write out fast enough.
