monitoring more db instances with one zabbix agent

Can i monitoring more db instances with one zabbix agent?
Or
Can i rann two or more zabbix agents?

Some one can help with thit problem.

I currently monitoring my db onliy with one zabbix agent.
I have one server with one zabbix agent.

What's your suggestion?

I think it could be done but it is all a bit case specific, so I cannot provide an easy answer without this information

and Items:

cachedreads

ovlock

lokwaits
lockreqsz
deadlks
seqscans

umax
lcksescnt
mem.

I have 2 informix db instaces in one server.
And i need to monitoring bouth instances.

But it is posible?

Sorry, don't know anything on informix.
I think it should be possible.

Your items must relate to a unique identifier for your current db, right?
I would say you could copy the items and change the identifier to the value needed for your secondary db.

But it's posible with one zabbix_agentd monitor 2 instances?
Server have to ip addresses and first db instance have y.y.y.y ip address but second db instance have x.x.x.x ip address.

If you want each ip address to have it's own zabbix agent listening, yes you can do that. You will need two configuration files and in the configuration file you can set a listenin IP address.

Then make sure your scripts start the zabbix agent twice, once with each config file.

Could you please post more information how do you monitor Informix databases?

I saw this in documentation:
2.7 Informix
Standard Informix utility onstat can be used for monitoring of virtually every aspect of Informix database. Also, Zabbix can retrieve information provided by Informix SNMP agent.

BUT there is no other information how this could be accomplished?!?!
