zabbix_agent

Hi,
Is the zabbix agent flexible enough to be able to send alerts to other monitoring and ticketing platforms? We have a script which sends alerts via a Patrol Agent to alarmpoint and Remedy.

Can zabbix do the same or will I need to call the existing script that runs the agent? If it is possible please explain how.

Hi,
keep in mind that the zabbix agent never sends any alert, just values (data).
Alerting logic stays on the zabbix server, so you'll want to configure an action on the zabbix server itself to send alters to other systems.
