    User rights by application?

I have servers running multiple applications. I would like to alert only the application owners in case the application has any problem. I have:

    - created a template with keys and triggers for the app
    - added to the host
    - gave access to the user for the _template_
    - altered a trigger to fire an alarm
    - I have got a mail, the user did not.

Is any was to solve my problem?

    Hi,
first of all, you should give access to the users to the hostgroup containing the host in question, not the template
Then, you should add said user to the relevant action. You can have a separate action for every application.

    cheers

Thank you. If I understand well I have to create actions for all the apps, like:

      email-app1
      email-app2

and so on. Then I have to set the appropriate application-action for the desired user?

        Yes,
that's what I'd do. For every action, you set the appropriate message receiver (user).

        cheers,
