Monitoring Multiple Entities on Single Host

    Hi

I am monitoring an increasing number of "entities" that exist on a single device. The entities each have very similar items, triggers and maps related to them. I am finding it very time consuming to need to add these new details to the host every time I get a new customer.

Is there a way I can speed up the proccess by creating a sort of template that can be used to repeatedly apply similar items, triggers, maps etc to the SAME host?

Alternatively, can I add multiple "hosts" with the same IP that would each have there own set of similar but different items/triggers. Each "host" could then represent a new customer entity being monitored on the same physical device.

Are there any other suggestions on how to accomplish this?

    Thanks in advance,

    Hi,

I have chosen to define multiple hosts with the same IP address.
    It has several advantages:
    • Templates can be applied to each host.
    • Data are easier to visualize in «Latest data» and «overview» screens.
    • Each host can have different access rights so taht each customer sees only its own host.

    Hope this helps
