icmpping throught proxy

Hi,
I want to ping server that is on other network and has only local ip address.
I have proxy server running on that network and connected pptp with router and to the network where is zabbix server;

When i add host with his network ip and select proxy - his network it shows that ping is ok but when i try to chage ip to the dead one it says ping is ok too

Question is is there a way to icmpping server throught zabbix proxy server?

I have a very similar question. There is a chart in the manual that say that you can run simple checks on a proxy.
It fails for me too, but good luck getting any kind of support here.

I wonder just where someone serious about using Zabbix is supposed to get questions answered. It's not here apparently.
