Error SNMP - snmp_build: unknown failuresnmp_build: unknown

Hi,

I have problems with add network devices by SNMP
I add new host and create new item by SNMP but not working.
I did restarting the zabbix server and look the log, found error snmp_build: unknown failuresnmp_build: unknown.

I need to help for add the devices network by SNMP

I'm having the same issue that you had in 2011!
Did you solved it?

I read some posts from Alexei about snmp_lib problem.
But i didn't found which libraries is really needed to zabbix_server works with snmp protocol.

I'm using zabbix 2.0.1, in debian 6.0, in the compilation of the server, the SNMP function was enabled and successfully installed.
So, in the first lines from /tmp/zabbix_server.log shows: Enabled features
SNMP monitoring: YES.

By the way, if I use snmpwalk against the devices (switchs and laserjet printers), it works fine ... but not through zabbix

If anyone can help, i'll appreciate!

Solved !!

Luiz,

My problem was solved when I installed the packages:
- libsnmp-mib-compiler-perl
- snmp-mibs-downloader

Now my snmp is working in zabbix server 2.0.1 !!
