Vocal alert in Zabbix?

Hi!

Is there product for Zabbix which have the same functionnality than teamTilt with Nagios, I thought about vocal alert?

Zabbix is a solution that interests me very much, only constraint is not respected for its implementation is the lack of voice alerts by phone.

This may be provided for the future version 2? Or can we bypass this problem? Script for example?

Hi deniss,

Yes, you can create your own media types using scripts. If you can script up the voice alert than Zabbix can use it.

Out of the box Zabbix currently supports the commercial Ez Texting sms interface (http://www.eztexting.com/)

While there is not in-built integration, you can always use a third-party API and use external action scripts to dial-out, etc.

E.g. you can use the API from ifbyphone http://public.ifbyphone.com/partners/developers

We are using a TeleVantage Telephone VOIP server and made a custom action that triggers Televantage to call the stand-by employee.

The Televantage part is custom made by an external orginsation and we have made a actoin in Zabbix.

Currently we are testing it and I will post our solution when we we are finshed.
