How to know if a windows server can telnet a remote host?

    Hi to all
I have a very particular case, i need to monitor permanently if a particular windows server (w2k8) can connect to a certain port in a remote machine outside our network (we usually do that manually using a humble telnet to the port), i can't monitor that connection directly from my zabbix server due to security reasons, the remote machine connects only to that particular server and that server is the only one in the entire network that can "see" that remote machine ... so, how can i perform that monitoring? i think it can be done using a custom command or script defined in the sever's agent config file, but how exactly?i have very poor windows command line skills and any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

You can just add the following check to the agent on the Windows host: net.tcp.port[192.168.1.90,8085]

(Check, if it is possible to make TCP connection to the port number. 0 - cannot connect, 1 - can connect. IP address is optional. If ip is missing, 127.0.0.1 is used. Example: net.tcp.port[,80])
