Hey everybody, I got another question for you.
My discovery rules and actions are working perfectly ; I'm able to discover a server, make a host, put it in a group, link a template to him and start the monitoring.
The only things that bothers if the hostname of that newly discovered host. By default, it seems like zabbix sets it to the host ip.
Does anyone know a way to tell zabbix to set that hostname to be the same as the one in zabbix_agentd.conf ?
I have searched over the web but didn't manage to find any answers :S
Also, is it possible for the discovery to know what is the type of server it had just discovered (linux, windows, etc)?
Edit : I forgot to mention that I'm using CentOs and zabbix-1.8.2
-----------EDIT--------------
I was looking in the archives (http://www.zabbix.com/forum/archive/...p/t-21142.html) and it looks like there is still no way to do what I want to do in 1.8.4...
Or maybe I misunderstood?
