Queues of items to be updated

Hi everyone.

Zabbix server is running fine and polling data and everything is good. However occasionally the Queues will block up and the count will rise in the More then 10 Minutes. I find i need to stop and start the Zabbix-Server a few times before it clears...

anyone have this issue? guessing im not alone out there...

This is often a case of the db server getting backed up, not necessarily because it's not capable but because the channel between it and zabbix is clogged.

To help troubleshoot, we'd need to know what hardware you're running on, what DB you're connected to, what Zabbix version, and what options you have in your zabbix_server.conf (omit the identifying entries).

hi, thanks for the response.

its all defaulted except for the dbname and passwords in the server conf file.

Zabbix is 1.8.5 and MySQL

Ubunuta Server 11.04
AMD 64Bit Processor
1GB RAM
67GB HDD Space

You should probably edit your /etc/mysql/my.cnf file with larger cache sizes, as described: http://www.zabbix.com/forum/showthread.php?t=12407
