    I don't think so.
    as far as I found out, you have to run another instance of the agent with another config file, on another port

      Sure you can.

      In the zabbix_agentd.conf it says "List of comma delimited IP addresses (or hostnames) of Zabbix servers."

      So you can put:

      Server=192.168.x.x,192.168.y.y,etc. . .

      If using Active checks, then that server must be first in the list.

      Disclaimer: All of the above is pure speculation.

        How zabbix agents behaves in this case? To which server agent is going to send data?

          Davidus, the fine manual, which I'm assuming you have read, tells you.

          http://www.zabbix.com/documentation/...abbix_agentd?s[]=agent&s[]=conf

          This has also been discussed in other forum posts.

          If that does not help, please clarify your question so we can help give you a better answer.

              What about a backup server? For example, the Zabbix server is reachable though two different I(S)Ps, but the first one goes down, than use the second (backup) one for active checks as well. Is that possible?

                no, the agent will send active checks only to the first server in the list...
                passive check will work from all servers in the list
