The problem with the first startup

    Hello!
I have installed the version 1.8 using the manual. But when I log into the web-interface (to the catalog with the frontend), I see a blank page instead of the installation greeting dialog, could you please tell me: what's wrong and what should I do?

    System: FreeBSD, PHP 5.2.

I have uploaded the frontend onto my site, that also works on PHP, and gave all rights, but still doesn't work. Also I restarted Apache.

    Please, help!

The FreeBSD install might be a little different, but most linux installs place the web files in /usr/share/zabbix, and there's an apache config file that references that location.

If you have multiple virtual hosts setup, you have to make some small modifications to the apache config.

Where is your apache web root pointing to right now?

I have a catalog where are located the files for my website, so I also created Zabbix folder there. When apache addresses to that very catalog my website works good (I mean PHP is alright), but when it addresses to Zabbix folder I see the blank page.

This FreeBSD walkthrough has apache2 installed into /usr/local/apache2. Is that where you have it installed? Are these the steps you followed?

Tell us how you're installed the front-end

Yes, I have followed all these steps and installed Apache to usr/local/apache2.

I have copied the content of the front-end catalog to the subdirectory of my web-site.

Even when I open index.php or install.php from the front-end catalog (that is located in the subdirectory of my web-site) I see the blank page.
