why my zabbix_server don't work with mysql?

I have edit the file zabbix_server.conf ,and use the right "user" and "password" ,but ,the zabbix_server_log tell me that :



020235:20060217:095256 Failed to connect to database: Error: Access denied for user 'zabbix'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

why ? need help ! thanks!!!

Are you sure you have setup the user properly in MySQL? Try using your default 'root' or 'admin' MySQL account and see if it works. If so, then you'll need to make sure your 'zabbix' account has the proper permissions.

I have the exact same issue. I have tried to login as root and changed the password a number of times but it doesn't work. I have created a zabbix database user as well but still not working.

I have noticed that there is no file on our system called zabbix_suckerd
