monitor 1 system using SNMP and Zabbix Agent

monitor 1 system using SNMP and Zabbix Agent

    Hi,

Started working with Zabbix for about a week now, and love this....

I monitor several hosts which one is Elastix, and Asterisk based PBX. For this host, I want to monitor SNMP using port 161 and using a specific template which works fine, yet I also want to monitor zabbix_agentd on 10050.

How can you monitor multiple service on 1 target system?

juste create/use items with different types

use snmp agent items for... snmp ,
and zabbix agent items for ... agent queries
    :-)

as long as you don't have colliding item keys, you can also create templates and link your templates to your hosts (maybe a template_asterisk whith your specific snmp items, and a linux one with the generic agent items)

But the problem is the host.
When i click hosts, to see all my hosts, i cannot add port 161 and 10050 in the port section, it only takes 1 port not multiple

zabix agent port is at the host level

snmp port / community is at the item level when you choose type SNMP agent.
you can define a macro {$SNMP_COMMUNITY} or whatever at the host level and use it as community for your items if you want, it should work for snmp port the same way (I didn't test)
