    Auto discovery

    Hello,

I don't understand why i don't have an host list linked with the auto discovery option.

I want to discovery with snmp (no problem, my snmpd.conf is well, tested with other softwaire ...) .

    Uploaded with ImageShack.us

When i create a manuel host there are no problems ... so what do you think ?

    Regards.

if your discovery is working, maybe the problem is in the action part.
how did you setup the action for discovery events ?

In the normal situation, the discovery will list hosts , and then depending on your action the hosts will be created, added to groups or linked to templates...

on the other hand, maybe the problem you see is that you didn't configure the snmp comunity in your discovery rule (should be agent snmpv2 "public" or whatever...)

what is the result of the discovery ?
        (under monitoring/discovery)
do you see something beeing discovered ?
if not you have a problem accessing the snmp agents

if your hosts are in the list, do you see envents associated with discovery ?
(under monitoring/events then choose source : discovery)

for the zabbix proxy, i didn't test the discovery yet, but it should work by simply setting the proxy in the discovery rule.
