I'm a newbie to zabbix but experienced in linux. I am also a prolific poster in my favoured linux
I normally prefer the irc but it's entirely hit and miss there. Having missed, I move to here.
I have some linux vms and a wondows on a laptop listed in the hosts. The instructions for windows is fairly brief. I'd like to get a more sophisticated setup, but first things first.
I use the Windows template to list / include the Windows laptop agent.
Going to Config -> Hosts -> Windows host -> Applications -> Items, I am perplexed.
Almost all the entries are marked with a red cross on the last column.
They are citing linux directories.
This is a Windows agent. I assumed a Windows template would be setup for a Windows system.
There is something fundamentally out of place here.
What and how to set right??
In fact the whole system is basically linux like. Refs to the kernel, refs to /etc/, free inodes (on NTFS??), ssh which windows doesn't have, even a vmlinuz!!????!! Just don't get it. A Windows template should be made for Windows, or does it receive its contents from a separate source that doesn't distinguish??
Where do I find the list of tags to use for posts?
