    monitoring cpu temperature problem

    hello!!

I have zabbix 1.8.2 installed in a debian squeeze.I would like to monitor a cpu temperature for AIX 5.3 and windows serever 2003.I tried with zabbix agent(1.8.2) but it not works(item:sensor[temp1] not supported).

After this i tried to do it with snmp,So i found many oid for cpu temperature but nobody of them works.

So that will be cool if you have the snmp oid of cpu temperature for windows server 2003 and AIX5.3.Or if you found a solution for this problem with zabbix agent.

pleassssseeeee helpp me!!!!!!!!!! And sorry for my bad english

I got this roughly working for a few ESXI hosts using IPMI (use this a lot here as we run DRAC etc) - have you tried that?

IPMI's great for all those niggly things you can't get through SNMP etc that's if it's available for the servers you're trying to get info on.

Although, I'm only getting reporting on the ambient temp at the moment (which is handy enough really!) - we also got it reporting on each of the CPU fan RPM's

The IPMI section of the handbook is really good, it's in chapter 4 & is here http://www.zabbix.com/documentation.php

Hope that's helpful, sorry if it's not!
