    Charts/Graphs

    Hey there,

    I am having some difficulties understanding exactly how the charts/graphs work. I can of course go under latest data, and press graph, and it will show me one, but if I want one generated automatically from my specifications, how would one go on about that?

    I my case, I have a lot of data, load, mem, cpu% etc.. and I would like a 2 week overview of those three combined on one graph/chart. And I would like to be able to specify which servers I would like this generated from of course. If anyone could point me in the right direction I would be greatfull. And yes, I have googled a lot, but couldn't seem to find any real documentation/guide for this.

    What you can try to do is a "screen". Go under configuration -> screen.

    With that tool, you'll be able to create graphs with what you want in it.

      Thanks, that did help a lot! Last question would be if I can get all three information types on one chart? Or do I have to use the 3 pieces next to each other?

        I'm not totaly sure to understand what you really want. But I think you can do pretty much everything you want with those graphs.

        Although, I would suggest to have 1 graph for 1 type of data. For exemple, I'm using of graphs that show to processor load of 10 different servers.

          You can combine items in graphs as you like with following limitations (note from manual):
          “When creating a new graph, first item can be added from any template or host. Then, depending on the choice, further items can be added :
          1. if the first item was from a template, only from that template;
          2. if the first item was from any host, from any host (but not from templates anymore)”

          Consider baying the “Zabbix 1.8 Network Monitoring” book, it have a great chapter regarding graphs – and lot more
          There are a lot of great details in graph configuration in Zabbix, but not well documented in the manual so far.

          Note to graphs in Screens:
          Remember to click “Dynamic item” to be able to reuse your graphs for all relevant hosts.
