Basic/Newbie question

I have tried Google extensively and unable to find an answer to my issue.

I download the appliance and am running it on VM player. I created a Windows 7 WM and trying to monitor it.

The appliance is 192.168.10.108 and W7 is 192.168.10.134

On the Zabbix server side, I created a new Host with name W7vm and IP 192.168.10.134.

On the Windows 7 client side, I downloaded the 1.8.5 client and have it in c:\zabbix folder with a conf file that has server IP address 192.168.10.108 in it.

I run "zabbix_agentd.exe -c zabbix_agentd.conf" on Windows client, but don't see the Host monitored on Server (the "Z" is grayed out under Availability column).

What am I doing wrong?

look at the logfiles and go to an higher verbose..

1. make sure that you have conectivity between the host and the server (perform a ping)

2. Make sure that the service is running in the client machine, go run->services.msc and find zabbix
