Triggers based on several hosts.

Hi all,

I have 2 servers dsn1 and dns2.

I would like to monitor DNS service - that is - alert if dns1 AND dns2 is down (for ex. not responding form ICMP ping).

Is this possible with Zabbix?

yep...
you have to create an icmpping item for each host,
and a trigger that says something like
{DNS1:icmpping.last(0)}=0 & {DNS2:icmpping.last(0)}=0

if you have network reliability problems, you can use min(#2) instead of last(0) to test 2 consecutive pings
