    Macro in Item SNMP Port

I can not put any macro in this field. It is for a template for customers who set up special ports for SNMP. (I know security through obscurity isn't security.) But, we can't force them to use the standard 161 or SNMP ver3.

I even exported a normal item, edited the snmp_port value, and imported as a different name...
    error: Invalid SNMP port

How do you handle custom ports in SNMP items?
Am I suppose to create a bunch of hosts for the same server but with different ports....

    edit:
I am guessing that custom ports for SNMP isn't done on Zabbix? Or it means you can't use templates with these?

    Obviously not possible

    Guess this is not done.

Special port means that templates aren't possible. So I resign to copying from a normal template and change the port for each.

At least a host MACRO will let me keep that SNMP port number in one place...
