Externalchecks with zabbix proxy

Hi all again!!
Now i'm configuring zabbix-proxy in a cluster. i am monitoring all the items i want with snmp. the problem comes when i want to do an externalcheck using a nagios wrapper, to monitorize services (ping, http, ...).
My server is outside the cluster, and i got a machine inside the cluster with zabbix_proxy and another machine with the db UTF8 also inside the cluster, they work fine.
i don't remember where i read that the external check must do it zabbix_server and no zabbix_proxy, but i don't know how to do it.
i copied to zabbix_proxy all the nagios scripts. i tried them inside the machine and works fine. the problem comes when i try them using it with zabbix app.
It's my last thing to finish my testing project, so i will be very glad to have inputs about this.

Sorry for wasting your time. i thought that the nagios-plugins-1.4.15.tar.gz included zext_nagios.sh but it didn't. so i copy it from zabbix_server to the proxy_server and now works all fine.
i had a little issue monitoring "check_ping" because in zabbix_proxy.conf i had "Timeout=3seconds" and it didn't do nothing, but changing it to 30 seconds works fine.
