    HouseKeeping in 1.8.5

    Hi,

I've updated my Zabbix server to from 1.8.4 to 1.8.5 in June and I made my firtst mistake. I didn't check the housekeeping variable value, but DisableHouseKeeping was commented. So I guess HouseKeeping was enable.

Lots of items had History set to 90 days and Trends to 365. So database start growing really fast. After 3 months, my database grows up from 35G to 135G.

I change value for History from 90 to 7 few weeks earlier, but it seems not doing anything. Database still growing. When I force clearing History for items, it seems working but it take a long time and I have more dans 300 servers monitored by Zabbix

Did I miss something about HouseKeeping and database cleaning ? What could I do to clean my database ?

    Thanks for helping

      quick and dirty..

sql-query to delete all items in history and history_uint something like this:

      for postgres:
      Code:
       delete (*)
      FROM
        history
      where
       age(to_timestamp(history.clock)) > interval '180 days'
