Drop all data in events table

    Hi,

I have a lot amount of data in the events table. (about 60 gb)

There is a problem if I drop all the data from the database ? I dont really use the events in my zabbix installation.

I dont see any problem with this , but I am scare to corrupt the database with this procedure.

    Thanks for any advice.

    bye

Do not know about drop of event table, but maybe this will work for your:
Change the event history for housekeeper function to e.g. 7 days:
Zabbix Gui: Administration - General - Housekeeper (upper right at the screen))
      BR.

        Erik,

i have already tried that but didnt work.

There is so much data that the housekeeping procedure wont clear out data.

I have to change the range to a big number ?

        HousekeepingFrequency=1
        Range: 0-1048576

after changing the value in frontend the whole system start to work bad. If found querys in db trying to manipulate all event data. I think this is the housekeeping procedure. I was worried that zabbix was running in an unstable way. So I put the value as before.

So that is why i ask to drop the data instead of waiting the housekeeping provedure clearout every event. Remember that i have about 60 Gb of data.

        Thanks for reply

        Any advice ?
