    Can I modify DB structure?

    Hi everyone again,

I need to modify the datatype of a field in a table (httpstep) 'cause the string i want to storage is bigger (it has 2120 characters but the field only allows 817)

My question is, in addition to perform a backup, is there any recommentation to do that?

    Tnx in advance...

I don't think changing the schema would fix your problem. In addition the Zabbix server has a fixed maximum length used for strings. I would need to look into the source code, but any change you make to the schema needs to correlate with a change in the source. A word of warning, there are a lot of moving parts and it is not recommended to make changes to the source unless you take the time to educate yourself first.
