Trigger dependencies

Hello,
when creating a new trigger,I want to add dependency on trigger from another template,but an error appers>

* Error adding dependencies. Following dependencies are not allowed: 1) from a host trigger to a template trigger; 2) from a template trigger to a host trigger; 3) between template triggers, where templates have links to other templates.

I don't understand what is wrong,could you advice me how to add dependency on a trigger from another Template?

Hi,
Yes, you can't make triggers from different hosts or templates dependent upon one another. I don't know if there are plans to allow this but it's not possible now.

One way around it is to unlink the template that has the triggers you want to create dependencies against. By linking and not clearing the items and triggers objects will remaining defined in the host or template to which they were linked. Then you can create your dependencies.

It's not ideal. But until the functionality is expanded in this area I don't know of a better way.

Perhaps you can automate it by using the API or zabcon in the mean while?
