    Could not load map image in zabbix Map

    Hi,
    am using zabbix 1.8. I added an image as follows:
    Administration-->General and then create a new image.
    I choose a simple one from openstreet.org. But when creation the map, and browsing the image just we have added i doesn't appear.

    Any idea.. ? thanks in advance

    do you see the image in the background dropdown ?

    if yes, it is likely your encoding on the database/tables is incorrect - it must be utf8. convert them to utf8 and reupload image.

      Thanks for response,

      I see the image in the list. But i wonder how to change its format utf8 in the database. I mean if there is a specific table for the image to upload..

      Thanks

              Please paste the output to the following SQL:

              SHOW CREATE TABLE `zabbix`.`images`;

                Thanks for reply,

                I see the image in the drop list but not displayed after creating my new map.
                I passed the command and it gives

                | images | CREATE TABLE `images` (
                `imageid` bigint(20) unsigned NOT NULL DEFAULT '0',
                `imagetype` int(11) NOT NULL DEFAULT '0',
                `name` varchar(64) NOT NULL DEFAULT '0',
                `image` longblob NOT NULL,
                PRIMARY KEY (`imageid`),
                KEY `images_1` (`imagetype`,`name`)
                ) ENGINE=InnoDB DEFAULT CHARSET=latin1

                i dont see the problem given from uploading the image...THX for help

                  run mysql against zabbix database. then :

                  Code:
                  ALTER DATABASE CHARACTER SET utf8;
                  ALTER TABLE images CONVERT TO CHARACTER SET utf8 COLLATE utf8_general_ci;
                  that should be the minimum to get you going, although i'd strongly suggest converting all the tables, just in case.

                  after that, reupload all the broken images
